I bought this item from OUTLET. And this item did not come with a battery!!! I had to then purchase a battery from Polaroid for an extra $40.00. I would of been better off going and buying a brand new one at a local store! No where does it say it doesn’t come witha battery. The person at the store OUTLET said she would help me find a battery but I have yet to hear anything! this is a nice, but cheap player anyone can afford..we use it for our traveling and for looking at our pics we took with our Canon Rebel XTI 400D. very light weight. yes..rumors are true it comes with no battery …but if you can get it at a sweet price then call polaroid like i did and get the battery for $32.00 shipped and everything straight from the manufacture. you can find their number on their site…it’s easy…comes in different colors and you can buy docking station to view your tv and cable..i think it’s great for the price i bought it at…thanks
1 Star Stopped working in less than a year of minimal use
We bought one of these on a road trip and used it for maybe 20 hours at most in the car. We even took it out of the car when we left to keep it from getting too hot. Once we got home it was used only occasionally as a DVD player for our bedroom TV. It was not moved or exposed to less than ideal conditions (as it would have been in a car). It really was treated like a baby, but it just stopped working after only 10 months. Warranty in the US is only 90 days so it’s a total loss. I would recommend trying another brand.

bought at walmart for daughter. does NOT come with battery. which sortof peeved me. but it does come with home & car charger both with decently long cords. in the car or at home kids can just plug it in & play. daughter loves it because [1]it is pink [2]she can watch her movie again when we want to watch our movie… like on a Fri nite just back from the video rental. i like it because [1]controls are simple [2]its very light so my daughter can carry it [3]she can watch her movie again while we watch our movie! why i thought about returning it for something else [1]for a unit WITH a battery [2]something compatible with her plug & play games [pet shop, barbie & mickey mouse] [3]the case is way too snug & poorly designed if attached to seat back as one reviewer wrote you’d need to detach everything & pull out player to insert another movie which mommy cant do when driving! but i did not return it because [1]its cheap [2]when daughter outgrows pink i wont be upset like i wasted money [3]for features particularly the swivel screen, sound & picture quality, plus price its a pretty good deal. [4]since daughter still loves loves loves pink, compared to other pink models its a great deal!

Main thing to think about with this. Most people buy a portable DVD player to be able to not plug it in.. well, this is a good price until you see that it does not come with a rechargable battery. Those cost extra.. So, make sure you know that before you buy!

4 Stars Big bang little buck
This is a great DVD player the picture is awesome. Its very easy to use and the battery life is good about 5 hours. The swivel screen is a great feature and is versatile for all sitting positions. The only downside is the sound it is very tinny and on the high side.If you are not going to use headphones i would recommend buying some auxiliary speakers to get some bass. All in all it is definitely a recommended buy.
5 Stars Awesome Portable DVD Player
This DVD player is awesome! The screen resolution is very good. I don’t notice the difference between it and my HD TV. All the buttons are on the screen making it easy to use. You can even scan by using the arrow buttons in play mode. The battery life lasts about 5 hours with the backlight set on the default setting and using headphones. Cords to hook it up to your TV are included, as well as a power adaptor to your car. I’ve replaced my home DVD player (not portable) with this one because I like the displayed image better. I also travel with it. The battery pack makes it a little heavy, but it’s compact enough to fit in a carry-on bag. It’s perfect when your stuck at the airport or have a long flight. I’ve owned mine since October 2008 and have had no problems with it. This is one of the best investments I’ve made.
